The following charts run through a random week of the S&P emini (at 5min bar time frame) using the IQstrat Algorithm to show how well it identifies opportunities on both good and bad (flat) days.

The chart above shows IQstrat identifying two massive moves intra-day, to see how to trade these moves appropriately please see Rules for Entry, Risk Management, and Rules for Exit tabs under IQstrat.

The chart above is from the day after the preceding chart. At first IQstrat identifies buying opportunities prob. due to favorable price action caused by larger buyers coming into the market early in the morning. According to rules for entry, no position would have been taken here (shows how well the rules help filter out bad plays in volatile times) and the only entry on this day would have been after the cluster of buy oriented marked candles. This entry went for a significant profit.

Arrow 6 identifies a rather disapointing position undertaken but if managed correctly could have resulted in some profit before exiting with a stop at entry (see Rules for Exit). The next position undertaken, however, resulted in some serious profit.

Note how well IQstrat and our rules manage this flat day in the S&P emini future. According to our rules for entry only one position would have been undertaken on this day resulting in some significant profit. Well done for a shoddy day.

The week described above turned out to be a less that exciting week of returns for IQstrat. We chose this week at random and it worked out exceptionally because not only does it show some massive profit potential but also shows how well flat, less than ideal, days/weeks can be managed profitably.
